Seasonal Pin Calendar

Pinterest searches start weeks before the event. A Christmas pin published in December is already late. Pick a month and get what to prepare, with lead times.

Pinterest runs six weeks ahead

People plan on Pinterest earlier than anywhere else. Searches for Halloween climb through September, and Christmas planning starts in October. Publishing at the moment of the event means arriving after the search volume has peaked — the pin is live, but nobody is looking.

Two calendars, not one

You need the month you are in for evergreen content, and the month six to eight weeks ahead for seasonal pins. Most creators only plan the first and wonder why seasonal pins never take off.

Evergreen is the base

Seasonal pins spike and fade. Evergreen pins — how-tos, ideas, lists — accumulate saves all year. A healthy account publishes both, with seasonal content layered on top of a steady evergreen base rather than replacing it.

How to use Seasonal Pin Calendar

  1. Choose the month you are planning.
  2. Note the themes and their lead times.
  3. Build pins now for anything 6–8 weeks out.
Questions

Seasonal Pin Calendar FAQ

When should I start Christmas pins?

Early October. Search volume builds through October and peaks in early December.

Can I republish last year’s seasonal pins?

Yes — a fresh image and title on the same idea works. Do not repost the identical pin.

Does this cover non-US holidays?

It covers the major global ones. Add your local dates to the plan manually.
