Pin Audit Checklist
Most underperforming pins fail two or three basics: a vague title, no keyword, unreadable text on mobile. Run the checklist before you publish, not after.

What the checklist measures
Title length and keyword placement, description length and first-line strength, link validity, and whether the fields repeat each other. These are the things you can control — image quality and timing are separate problems.
Why the first 50 characters matter
That is roughly what shows in the feed before truncation. A title that only makes sense after the cut-off is invisible to most people scrolling past, even though the full title exists.
The repeat problem
Using the same sentence as the title and the description wastes one of the two fields. Pinterest reads both, so give each a different job: the title carries the keyword, the description carries the reason to click.
How to use Pin Audit Checklist
- Enter the title, description and link.
- Work through the checks that fail.
- Fix them before publishing, not after.
